Addmind+, owners of the recently opened O1NE Yas Island approached us with an ambitious vision: to create a monumental graffiti mural on the exterior wall of their mega-club, destined to be the world’s largest privately owned mural.
We were tasked with assembling a team of 18 elite graffiti artists from across the globe, providing them with detailed briefings, and meticulously managing this multifaceted project.
Within a tight timeframe of just 12 days, we faced the monumental task of adorning over 2500 square meters of surface area with awe-inspiring graffiti. We had just 12 days to paint a surface area of over 2500 sqm with mind-blowing graffiti.
What we did
Together with the client, we created an overall art concept.
Each artist was assigned a specific section to infuse with their unique design, contributing to the collective masterpiece. We then issued guidelines and assigned a team of people to each grafitti artist.
The teams were responsible for gathering ideas and designs via multiple communication platforms to give the artists as much creative freedom as possible.
Digitally inputting the drawings allowed us to create a layout of the overall mural so we could make adjustments before the artists arrived on site.
Outcome
A world acclaimed graffiti mural, which has been featured by printed and broadcast media throughout the world.
Up until this point, graffiti had been considered vandalism in the Middle East. This unified artwork, featuring 18 of the world’s top graffiti artists, has led to a fresh perspective. The mural has become a real landmark for the city and the region.
Despite the logistical hurdles posed by the artists’ busy schedules, scattered across various corners of the world, we successfully orchestrated seamless coordination to bring this ambitious vision to life.
