Waldorf Astoria Kuwait, renowned for its timeless luxury and exceptional hospitality, approached us to present an event that would inaugurate the grand launching of the 200-room luxury property at the avenues Mall. They sought a new event approach that would reflect the grandeur and sophistication of their brand. The goal was to create an event experience that combined the opulence of Waldorf Astoria with a touch of modernity. The challenge was to craft an event that resonated with both the hotel’s legacy of luxury and the evolving expectations of their discerning clientele.
What we did
We delved into the rich history of the core brand, tracing its origins back to 1893 on New York City’s Fifth Avenue. The Waldorf Astoria gained renown for its illustrious guests, including world leaders, diplomats, and celebrities, as well as for its opulent fundraisers, dinners, and balls. Its grand hallways and legendary Peacock Alley further added to its allure. Despite these accolades, there lingered a perception of the brand as antiquated and out of touch.
Part of our intentions were to rejuvenate this image through an immersive event experience titled “Waldorf Astoria Elegance: A Celebration of Timeless Luxury.” We sought to seamlessly marry the classic grandeur of the Waldorf Astoria with a contemporary edge, shows, entertainment, and tech – all driven by a fitting narrative.
Working closely with our designers and art directors, our team meticulously crafted every aspect of the event concept. From the décor and ambiance to the dining experience, every detail was carefully considered, including the latest trends. Drawing inspiration from the iconic Art Deco design of the Waldorf Astoria, we infused modern elements and touches of glamour to create an ambiance that epitomized timeless luxury. The event space itself underwent a stunning transformation into a realm of elegance, capturing the essence of the brand’s enduring legacy.
